I am starting this blog so that I can have a documentary of some of the comings and goings of this Waldman home. I am also excited to share stories and pictures with loved ones. As of today, Leo is almost 7 1/2, Issac 3 1/2, and Gavin 15 months. I have been busy planning, simplifying, and organizing the house. The fall weather has inspired me to cook more, bake more and try some new dishes. I have found this fall to be a time of new beginnings and fresh perspectives.

Issac has been down for almost one week with a broken foot. Well, a slightly fractured bone in the left foot. It has been hard for my active and busy three year old. However, he is getting around amazingly well for having a short cast up to the knee! He loves puzzles and building things with Legos. Issac is also getting into drawing -- he makes a very colorful and passionate pictures with pens, crayons and markers.

Leo is truly enjoying 2nd grade. He talks about his interest in math, science and art. He's also been a jump roping fool the past month or so. Ben and I don't know how he has the energy to be jump roping hundreds of times in the evenings. He has been enjoying playing with his neighborhood friends after school. Bike riding, skateboarding, tennis, baseball, soccer, you name it.

Gavin is a bundle of baby love. He's almost 15 months and such a mini-person. Lately, he points and drags you places, shows you what he wants. He plays, chases, grunts, giggles, cuddles and loves his milkies. He adores his older brothers and chases them constantly.

Regarding new beginnings and change, our family could not be more thrilled about the election of Barack Obama. Ben put in countless hours on the Campaign for Change and learned so many positive things. It was very inspiring and rewarding to work on a grass roots effort with neighbors and members of our community. The experience was incredibly powerful to see how each and every voice can collectively instill change.

My mom was able to come for a visit over Fall Break. The boys had a such a wonderful time with their grandma. They love her magic, book reading, game playing and cooking! Outings included DMNS, pet shops, trick-or-treating, and the airport. We are looking forward to seeing grandparents over the Thanksgiving holidays in a couple of weeks.
